Defensive Driving Class

Members put themselves and some of our squad cars to the test recently, in a Defensive Driving course. The course was taught by Tinley Park Police Officer Dave Cyborski. Members received classroom instruction then were tested on 4 seperate courses. A backing test, a reaction course called "The Lolli-Pop", a "Perception & Reaction" course and a timed "Road Course". Drivers were penalized 1 second for each cone they hit and 5 seconds if they missed a gate. By the end of the day, everyone was runnig the course error free.
